The Buthier is born from the glacier of the Grandes Murailles. At Valpelline, at 1,000 m altitude, this stream becomes a fishing reserve for about 3 km. In these rich waters, large-sized trout are fished with various techniques.
To fish you must have a government license and daily permit, which can be purchased directly at the bars/ tobacco shops in Valpelline.
