In a sunny valley of the Valpelline, surrounded by a mountain range, at 1,335 meters altitude rises Ollomont. Known in the past for its copper mines, now disused, today the protagonist of this place is uncontaminated nature.

On the border with Switzerland, Ollomont is the starting point for the climbs of the Grand Combin and Mont Vélan as well as the Tour des Combins, a 200 km stage tour between Italy and Switzerland. In the basin of By there are numerous trails for more or less simple hiking and mountain biking in summer and for ski mountaineering and snowshoeing in winter.

Ollomont is also a great place for sport climbing on the Vaud rock gym, while in winter the small ski lift and cross-country skiing run make this a perfect destination for families.
